Starting salary at $90,000, commensurate with experience

Position Summary:The Director of Compliance is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the organization’s compliance program to ensure adherence to federal, state, and regulatory standards. This leadership role promotes ethical practices, regulatory readiness, and operational integrity while supporting a culture of accountability and Trauma-Informed Care throughout the organization. The Director of Compliance works collaboratively with executive leadership, clinical teams, and department managers to ensure policies, procedures, and practices align with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the facility’s compliance program.
  • Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure organizational adherence to federal, state, and accreditation standards.
  • Conduct compliance audits, risk assessments, and internal reviews.
  • Develop, review, and update policies and procedures to ensure regulatory alignment.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to leadership regarding compliance-related issues.
  • Identify barriers to compliance and implement corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to monitor operational and clinical performance indicators.
  • Promote a culture of ethical conduct and accountability.
  • Ensure adherence to Hallmark’s Trauma-Informed Care initiatives.
  • Maintain effective communication with all disciplines involved in resident care.
  • Prepare reports and present findings to executive leadership as needed.
  • Support ongoing staff education regarding compliance standards and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate degree required.
  • Advanced coursework in management preferred.
  • Master’s degree in a human services field preferred.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated leadership and management experience preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a psychiatric setting required.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health principles and psychiatric terminology preferred.
  • Knowledge of adolescent development, childcare principles, and positive peer culture.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
