Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Care: Provide individualized support to youth clients, assisting them with daily living activities, coping strategies, and emotional regulation techniques. - Therapeutic Environment: Foster a safe, nurturing, and structured environment by maintaining appropriate boundaries and enforcing program rules.
- Monitoring: Observe and document clients’ behaviors, moods, and progress, reporting significant changes to supervisors and the therapeutic team.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond to crises with appropriate intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies as needed.
- - Collaboration: Work closely with mental health professionals, family members, and support staff to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- - Engagement Activities: Facilitate individual and group activities that promote emotional growth, social skills, and interpersonal relationships.
- - Education & Support: Provide guidance and education to clients about mental health, coping mechanisms, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- - Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with privacy regulations.
- - Training & Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge related to youth mental health.
