Lead Therapist
As a leading Residential Treatment Center in the Greater Richmond area, Hallmark Youthcare treats adolescents with emotional and behavioral issues triggered by trauma. Treatment is provided in a warm and friendly environment by a group of well-trained, highly motivated staff that takes pride in delivering quality care.
We are currently accepting applications for a strong clinical leader in the position of Lead Therapist to provide supervision to therapists and case managers and to provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy to resident adolescents 11 to 17 years of age.
Salary: $80,000-$85,000 annually
Location: 12800 West Creek Parkway Richmond, VA 23238
Skills/Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a human services field licensed in the State of Virginia with Department of Health Professions in either social work or counseling.
- Two years or greater of professional experience working with adolescents in the field of mental health.
- Strong clinical skills in the treatment of adolescents with histories of trauma
- Experience in clinical supervision of master's prepared licensed and licensed eligible therapists
- Expert knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, treatment, risk assessment and crisis management.
- Able to provide individual, family, and group therapies.
- Competent in provision of trauma-informed care and evidenced based clinical interventions
- Competence in age related or specialty issues and developmental needs necessary to provide care to the specific ages served.
- Able to communicate directly and effectively with physicians, diverse resident populations, families, and all levels of staff, both orally and in writing.
- Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality, display maturity, and respect together with flexibility, diplomacy, and tactfulness.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team as a clinical leader.
- EMR experience preferred.
- Experience working with adolescents with sexually abusive behavior a plus.
- Must be certified or able to become certified in CPR, first aid, AED, and Handle with Care.
- Must have valid Virginia Driver’s License in good standing.
- Microsoft Office Software/Applications.
